Kutcher wins battles with porn bosses

London, Dec 31 – Hollywood actor Ashton Kutcher has won a fight with a porn company as the firm agreed to remove his name from promotional material for a sex tape. 

The ‘Spread’ actor threatened to sue after Vivid Entertainment bosses named him in a press release for their forthcoming adult video featuring Brittney Jones, who claims to have bedded Kutcher.

The press release declared: ‘Ashton’s fans will undoubtedly enjoy seeing what the star himself may have experienced.’

The firm’s boss Steve Hirsch initially dismissed the actor’s complaint as ‘without merit’ but after a number of legal exchanges, Kutcher has been distanced from the controversy, reports tmz.com.

‘We decided not to use the A-lister’s actual name in connection with the sex tape,’ said a representative from Vivid Entertainment.

Akshay protects Katrina from the crowd

Akshay Kumar plays a real life bodyguard to Katrina Kaif during the promotional event of ‘Tees Maar Khan’. To promote their latest flick, Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar reach out to the large crowd. 

On looking at Kat and Akki, the crowd went berserk. To save the actress from the crowd, Akshay escorted Kat to the exit, rounded her with his hand. Kat is overwhelmed with Akki’s protective nature.

The stars threw CD’s of ‘Tees Maar Khan’ to the fans and interacted with them. The director of the film Farah Khan also accompanied them. Akshay waved to the crowd and the response was awesome.

Kat, Ranbir part ways due to Nargis

Katrina Kaif part ways with Ranbir Kapoor due to the growing proximity between Ranbir Kapoor and his co-star, Nargis Fakhri. These days Ranbir is taking too much interest on Nargis and almost ignoring Katrina. Finally, Kat has decided to call off their relationship which started on the set of ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahini’.

Ranbir Kapoor was heard telling his friends that he likes Nargis and wants to give another chance to their relationship.

A source reveals, "Kat feels that Ranbir isn't coming clean about his relation with Nargis. While he maintains they are working co-stars, she can sense there's more.

The growing tension between the two got public when the Kapoor lad was heard screaming into the phone on the Rockstar set with Kat at the other end of the line.

Ranbir even lied Kat for Nargis. When Kat called him up, he said that he was busy on an ad shoot but in actuality he was spending time with his ‘Rockstar’ actress.

Lydia Hearst-Shaw denies she’ll play Lindsay Lohan in movie

New York, Dec 30 – Lydia Hearst-Shaw has dismissed rumours that she is acting in a flick inspired by the life of troubled actress Lindsay Lohan.

The heiress and model took to Twitter to dismiss reports that she was starring in “Dogs in Pocketbooks,” a script by Charles Casillo that he claimed was based on the life of the troubled red-headed star.

“My hair is Red because I am the new face of Schwarzkopf color,” the New York Daily News quoted her as saying.

“I am a model. I dyed my hair to front the campaign.”

The 26-year-old great grandaughter of William Randolph Hearst later added that she is currently working on Bernard Rose’s “Two Jacks” and a movie called “Catwalk.”

“Thank you all for your messages of encouragement during my transition into acting,” she tweeted.

“I truly love and appreciate it. At this time I am Not officially signed onto any other projects. Thank you,” she added.

Hearst-Shaw’s agent said on Tuesday that she was offered the role of a rehab-hopping movie star, but had “no knowledge of the project nor any ties to Lindsay Lohan.” (ANI)

Pammie’s latest PETA ad too racy for Hong Kong airport

Melbourne – Pamela Anderson’s latest ad for PETA, which is banned at some US airports, has been deemed too racy for Hong Kong, one of Asia’s busiest aviation hubs.

The ad shows the scantily-clad former ‘Baywatch’ star as an airport security guard who strips passengers of leather, fur and other skins, reports Adelaide Now.

 

The ad, titled Cruelty Doesn’t Fly, also features comedian Steve-O, a star of the Jackass movie series, and German punk icon Nina Hagen.

It is already banned at airports in New York City and Boston, PETA said.

The animal rights group also said that it is still hoping to run the ad in other Asia-Pacific airports, including Tokyo, Seoul and Sydney. (ANI)

Jaipur film fest to focus on French cinema

The upcoming third edition of the Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF), to be held Jan 27-30, will focus on French cinema and screen 140 films from across the globe.

As many as 60 final entries are from France, and many French filmmakers are also expected to attend the film extravaganza, JIFF founder director and organiser Hanu Roj said in a press statement.

The Pink City is expected to play host to at least 300 filmmakers from across the globe. The festival will be screening a total of 143 films, shortlisted out of 600 films from 67 countries.

The films to be screened have been chosen based on the topicality of the subject, its technique and quality in filmmaking.

Of the 143 selected entries, 58 are from foreign nations, 71 from the home country and 12 from the state itself.

Short fiction, animation and feature films, apart from documentaries will be screened at the Jawahar Kala Kendra, Film Bhawan auditoria and Jaipur’s selected cinema halls during the event.

The films will be shown under various categories like ‘World wood-International’ for international competition, ‘Indian Panorama’ for Indian filmmakers, ‘Coming Stars’ for student filmmakers and ‘U-Turn Rajasthan’ for the state film makers.

Among the Indian film celebrities expected to be at the event are Sharmila Tagore, Jagmohan Mundhra, Madhur Bhandarkar, Kamal Kumar Barjatya and others.

Apart from new categories of awards, a film market ‘The Merchant’ would be set up and a script writing and acting workshop would also be organised.

Akshay Kumar On A Family Holiday After Tees Maar Khan

The year 2010 has been an average for Akshay Kumar in his professional life. He had four releases this year, which includes Housefull, Khatta Meetha, Action Replay and the Christmas release Tees Maar Khan.

The last release could not impress the critics as well as the viewers and faced all negative reviews. Now, after all these hectic schedules, the family man Akshay has planned a family trip to Goa to celebrate his wife Twinkle Khanna’s birthday on December 29.

He was recently busy with his television show ‘Master Chef India’, which also concluded during Christmas making him a free man for some days. Apart from celebrating Twinkle’s 36th birthday, they will also have a New Year bash there.

Akshay says that he always manages to find out some exclusive for his family. He adds that every year he allocates some time to spend only with Twinkle and his son Arav. The Khiladi star of Bollywood says that he puts a globe in front of her and asks her chose a place where she wants to go on a holiday. The dutiful husband says that she gives him enough space and freedom in his professional life so he should give her at least this much of pleasure in return.

The 43 year old informs that he is on nine day long holiday and will enjoy being with wife and son. We wish this family time helps him to recover from the plight of failure of Tees Maar Khan!

What Is Stored For Cameron Diaz And Alex Rodriguez After Vacation In Mexico?

It was reported few days back that Charlie’s Angels star Cameron Diaz is enjoying her holidays with her on-off beau American baseball player Alex Rodriguez and his little kids. The couple was reportedly on a Christmas vacation in Mexico and had a great time with each other as well as with the kids, who bonded well with Diaz.

‘Dhobi Ghat’ to be released in two versions

Mumbai – Aamir Khan’s production venture ‘Dhobi Ghat’, which is the directorial debut of his wife Kiran Rao, will be released in two versions – one completely in Hindi and the other with a few scenes in English.

‘The film has 8-10 scenes in English. But we realized that people who are not very comfortable with the language would be in a tough spot. So we dubbed those scenes in Hindi,’ Aamir told reporters here.

‘We will release the film in two versions. One will be completely in Hindi and the other will have the original English dialogues. People can choose the version they want to see,’ he said.

The 45-year-old confirmed that both the versions will be released Jan 21.

When asked the reason for two versions when he could have also gone in for subtitles, the actor-producer informed: ‘We didn’t want to keep subtitles because a lot of people don’t like reading while seeing the film and many people can’t read, so dubbing was a better option.’

‘Dhobi Ghat’ that stars Aamir along with Prateik Babbar, Monica Dogra, Kriti Malhotra, Kitu Gidwani and Nafisa Khan is a film about four characters from different classes of society and how their lives are interwined.

‘I’m very happy for the film. Kiran has beautifully implemented what she intended to make. It’s a very different film, an arthouse film that we haven’t seen for a while.

‘It’s a film about moments. Kiran has shot at real locations with a small crew, so it has a real feel about it. She has brought about the vibrancy and colour of Mumbai very well,’ he added.

The ‘Sincity’ actress has a two-year-old daughter Honor with her film producer husband Cash Warren and says having responsibility for another person has meant she no longer puts such a big emphasis on her career or things that are superficial, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

‘I’ve learned to forgive myself for not being perfect and not stressing myself so much. You have had a reputation for being fiercely protective of your independence. My daughter has put everything in perspective for me. You stop being selfish and driven in such a narrow personal sense, and you want to build a life for yourself and your family,’ said the 29-year-old.

‘I tended to be a workaholic in the past and now I don’t feel that kind of self-imposed stress anymore. My husband and my daughter are my real world. Together we want to build a truly loving and beautiful family. I’m very traditional in that sense. When Honor was born, I also felt that it was a good time to change many things. I was always the type of woman who tried to please other people and do everything right. Putting that kind of pressure on yourself isn’t healthy for you in the long run. If Shahrukh Khan is going extra mile to make his action flick, ‘Ra.One’ a hard-hitting hit then Saif Ali Khan is also not behind him. To make his next production, ‘Agent Vinod’ a blockbuster, he is learning many martial arts. To bring perfection to his role, Saif now a days taking lessons on kickboxing from three times champion, Ziauddin Khatib in Mumbai and Goa.

“We trained for two to three hours daily. Saif was a very good student and trained religiously. He always came on time, though he had many things to handle (he is also producing the film). He even went beyond the training necessary to learn sparring so that it will give that extra edge to his fights,” Khatib has been quoted saying.

The film stars Saif and Kareena in the lead roles. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, 'Agent Vinod'  is slated for May 2010 release.
